Description
700 g powder sugar in a resealable box. The ideal powder-sugar substitute for baking and cooking. The sweetness corresponds to about 70% of the sweetening power of sugar, so if you need to adjust the amounts when using: 1 g powdery sugar = 0.7 g icing sugar.
Erythritol is also called erythritol. The taste is mildly sweet and is similar to all sugar alcohols most of the sugar. Therefore, it is very well suited as a sugar substitute for desserts, pastries and drinks. For the production of jam it is less suitable because it crystallizes there. Because of its very good solubility, powdered sugar is the only variant of erythritol that can be used to bake without disturbing crackling crystals in the finished pastry.
In Japan, erythritol has been used in many foods and medicines since 1990. Especially diabetics appreciate its absolutely blood sugar neutral properties. In the US, erythritol was approved as a foodstuff in 1997 and in the EU in 2006 without any quantitative restrictions.
Applications: Powderxucker is used for calorie-reduced baking. It is also well suited for the production of frosting or meringue and generally as a sugar substitute for desserts, pastries and drinks.
