Vermicelli is an Italian pasta with a very fine diameter. The name comes from the Italian word "verme", which means worm, and refers to the thin, threadlike shapes of this pasta, which resemble... worms. Vermicelli is a popular ingredient in Italian and Asian cuisine, where it is used in soups, salads, or as an addition to meat and fish.
By replacing ordinary pasta or rice with shirataki noodles in one dish, you save about 300kcal - it's the perfect way to reduce calories, and additionally, shirataki noodles rich in fiber satiate for a long time - fiber swells in the stomach and thus reduces appetite.
