The bar you are currently looking at may have been known to you under the TRUWOMEN brand. In 2022, the owner (Simply Better Brands) decided to do a global rebranding and shortened the name to TRUEBAR. Why?
- The brand wanted to emphasize that the bar is for everyone, regardless of gender
- the new name better reflects the main product - a plant-based "TRUE BAR"

TRUWOMEN protein bars - simple, valuable, natural ingredients

• CASSAVA FLour; a low-glycemic, gluten-free superfood; a staple of the traditional diet in many parts of the world, extracted from the root of the yuca vegetable, it is ground to a fine dust after being peeled and dried. Cassava is made from the same root as tapioca, but is a less processed product and, among other reasons, contains more vitamin C. It is gluten-free and easy to digest, is addition in bars provides a pleasant, soft yet firm texture.

Vegan protein

• RICE PROTEIN; characterized by a complete set of amino acids; the rice protein used in Truwomen bars comes from Oryzatein®, the first patented allergen-free protein source. This organic, vegan (Plant Fueled™) protein composition is what gives Truwomen bars their remarkable texture - thanks to it, they don't have the chalky or grainy taste that many people unaccustomed to the taste of protein bars complain about, and which often ruins a good compositionally healthy bar. Bonus: this protein is very easily digested.

Cocoas

• FAIR TRADE COCOA PULP; unsweetened, rich, silky, sustainably grown; made from grinding whole cocoa beans, cocoa pulp is simply a combination of cocoa pieces and cocoa butter. This simple, yet perfect in its simplicity, ingredient helps achieve a deep chocolate flavor.
• The antioxidant-rich cocoa provides a rich chocolate flavor; used in the creation of Truwomen bars, the cocoa is roasted, then dried, excess fat is squeezed out of the dry, and in the final stage it is ground to a fine dust. Sourced from sustainably grown cacao, it offers a dynamic flavor profile and distinctive, slightly nutty brownie notes.
• COCOA BUTTER smooth texture emphasizes the intensity of flavor; to obtain the highest quality cocoa butter, the fat must be pressed out of the cocoa pulp under the highest possible pressure, in a traditional hydraulic press. • FAIR TRADE PALM OIL, SUNflower oil and Lecithin sourced from sustainably grown crops, free of cholesterol and trans fats. Sourced from crops approved by the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), palm oil is extracted from the flesh of the palm fruit and contains no trans fats or cholesterol. Sunflower oil and lecithin are pressed from sunflower seeds and act as a binder in the bars, giving the bars an unparalleled silky, melt-in-the-mouth texture.

We love real food that tastes great. We call ourselves TRUWOMEN because our products, our team and the way we run our company is about giving women the strength and energy to do things and create the world we want to see!

Before we created TRUWOMEN, we asked women what they wanted from a healthy snack bar. Here's what we heard: GOOD TASTE, real ingredients, enough but not too much protein and no stomach-ache-inducing polyols. Knowing this, we got to work.

Created with taste in mind, our products are made entirely from real, nutritious plant-based ingredients. Each bar contains at least 12 grams of protein and is vegan, dairy-free, soy-free, gluten-free and non-GMO. Everything we create is created with love in our family business in Boulder, Colorado.

We built TRUWOMEN by committing to prioritizing women leaders, providing equal pay and an inclusive environment. We partner with women sales leaders, focusing our business spending on creating opportunities for more women. Our production facility is run by two family duos, a wife and husband; our bars are packaged by the Women's Bean Project, which employs victims of domestic violence and chronic poverty. All of our consulting agencies, from lawyers to advertising and PR studios, are committed to women's leadership and equality. These are real-life examples of how prioritizing women is TRUWOMEN... and we're just getting started.

We have built our company by hiring women in most leadership positions and committing to pay equity in all areas. We focus every dollar the company spends on vendors who are women, women, or teams where women are represented equally to men. In addition, we ask these vendors to promote women in their organizations. This is much more than a protein bar. It's a movement to change culture and business practices. It's amazing to be a part of, and we look forward to helping it grow further.
