The shape of the jellies is not accidental - the inspiration is traditional Swedish Fish jellies known for decades (yes, so long!). The name contains some kind of confusion, because although they actually have the shape of red fish, they do not taste like fish (luckily!) - their taste generally referred to as blueberry most resembles Scandinavian blueberries, these jelly beans actually came to the USA in the 1960s from Sweden, and hence their name came about.
