Targroch non-degreased, unbleached almond flour, suitable for a ketogenic diet, is perfect for baking cakes, breads, pizzas, waffles and omelettes.

Full-fat almond flour is the basic type of flour used on the ketogenic diet, it is characterized by extremely low carbohydrate content (below 12%) and high fat content (over 50%), it is a rich source of protein (20%) and fiber. Targroch almond flour is made from whole ground sweet Californian almonds.
Almond flour is a rich source of vitamins E, B1, B2, PP, potassium, zinc and magnesium, and also provides a portion of unsaturated fatty acids. Regular consumption of almonds prevents atherosclerosis, heart attack, cancer, strokes, premature aging. Almond flour is characterized by a low content of carbohydrates and is rich in protein - thanks to the right proportion of nutrients, almond flour is suitable for diabetics because it has a low glycemic index and thus does not increase blood sugar levels.

Are almond flour and ground almonds the same?
Yes and no. Both whole almonds, ground almonds, almond flour and almond butter are 100% almonds, but they differ in the degree of grinding. Whole almonds have a solid form, ground almonds take the form of nut crumbs, more intensive grinding changes the crumbs into a loose, semi-sticky form resembling wet sand, and the longest grinding precipitates fat from the solid part, creating a cream called almond butter. In most recipes, you can replace almond flour with ground almonds, without much impact on the taste, but it will affect the consistency of the finished dish, especially in the case of cakes and cookies - cookies baked with almond flour will be brittle in a way similar to butter cookies baked with flour wheat, and biscuits, including the base for the cake, baked with ground almonds will have a less homogeneous structure with a tendency to crumble. For biscuit cakes, instead of full-fat almond flour, skimmed almond flour will work better.
