For people familiar with the German sweets market, the associations and similarities are obvious - the Frankonia Chocolat Hazelnut Waffle wafers are a sugar-free representation of the hyper-popular Hanuta wafers (for those unfamiliar with the subject: Hanuta is a Knoppers, only without the chocolate glaze and without the milk layer).
This is a unique combination of a very crunchy, quite thick, well-baked wafer and a sweet, velvety cocoa cream without with aromatic hazelnuts - the aroma of the wafer is a bit like Ferrero Rocher, but after opening the package, the main associations run towards Nutella, because the nostrils are filled with the intense smell of milk chocolate and roasted hazelnuts.
The cream in the wafer is sweetened with erythritol and is based not on whole hazelnuts, but on skimmed hazelnut flour, thanks to which it was possible not only to eliminate sugar, but also to reduce the fat content and significantly reduce caloric content, while maintaining the fullness of the unique taste. All these small changes in composition translate into a big difference in the nutritional values of the waffle, one has 79kcal and is the perfect emergency snack when you are looking for sweets up to 100kcal!
