Pictolin jelly without sugar is unique due to the sweeteners used - they are sweetened with stevia and thaumatine - if stevia is widely used, thaumatin is not; Thaumatin is a natural plant sweetener popular in dietetic sweets in Spain, Portugal and Italy, which is difficult to find in other parts of Europe - probably due to the high price of this ingredient.

Jelly in the form of colored pastilles sprinkled with 'sugar' are individually packed. These jellies do not contain gelatin - instead they contain pectin from citrus leeks that have the same properties as gelatin.

Pictolin jellies contain only natural flavors and only natural colors - intense colors come from vegetable and fruit extracts.
