Oats are harvested from the field as a grain protected by a husk, which is then removed. Then, in the process of thermoactive treatment, peroxidase is inactivated, an endogenous enzyme contained in oats that has lipid-modifying properties and, in active form, can affect microbiological functions leading to digestive ailments - that is, simplifying, the appropriately selected oat processing method used in Max Protein® oatmeals improves their digestibility.

Another feature that determines the uniqueness of Max Protein® oatmeals compared to other similar products is the use of the patented pHregulator® acidity regulating complex - the addition of this formula minimizes the potential acidifying effect on our body that is attributed to oatmeal and other oat derivatives. The pHregulator® formula includes, among others, meitan, which is a concentrated form of umeboshi extract, dried Japanese plum. Umeboshi is a decoction of fermented Japanese plum (or rather Prunus mume apricot) with health and cleansing properties and a characteristic salty-sour taste, used in Japanese tradition for hundreds of years, and discovered by Western culture only 30 years ago. Umeboshi extract is traditionally used for stomach problems resulting from an acid-base imbalance in the body and for bloating.
