Funky Flavors Sweet Bienenstich - sweetened food flavor of yeast dough with butter-honey cream and caramelized almonds, in the form of intensely sweetening flavor drops for dishes.
Dominant fragrance notes: buttery yeast dough, vanilla-butter confectionery cream with a hint of honey aroma (the aroma of honey is a very subtle accent), broken by the strong aroma of caramelized almonds with a noticeable note of burnt brown sugar. An excellent addition to creams for cakes, omelets, oatmeals, soothing and warming.
This is a unique combination of aromas, the main aromatic note are delicate notes of yeast dough, which resemble the taste of soft, slightly sweet cake and are complemented by the intense aroma of almonds. It is almonds that give the aroma its unique nutty-almond note.
What is Bienenstich and what does it taste like?
Bienenstich cake, which literally means "bee sting" in German, is a delicious German cake that has many fans due to its unique flavor composition. Bienenstich yeast dough usually consists of a layer of yeast dough on the base, which is soft and slightly sweet. This cake has a delicate taste of butter and eggs and a slightly noticeable aroma of vanilla. There is a layer of almond mass on top of the yeast dough. This layer is sticky and sweet, with an intense almond flavor. In some recipes, this mass is also flavored with almond extract. Often, Bienenstich cake is sprinkled with a light layer of caramel or honey, which gives it a hint of caramelized sugar, giving the cake extra sweetness and crunch. In some versions of Bienenstich cake you can find a milk or cream layer. This layer gives the cake a creamy and slightly caramel note.
