Pomelo is a large fruit from Asia from the citrus family with a characteristic thick skin protecting the juicy interior with a yellow, pink or orange color, resembling a grapefruit, but is usually sweeter and less bitter - that is why it is sometimes called a sweet grapefruit, although in fact it is not so much sweet, how sweet-bitter-sour!
