Sprite Zero is intensely carbonated, has a refreshing lime-lemon flavor that does not divert from the classic Sprite with sugar - a sour taste especially suited to sugar-sweetened sweeteners and masked by some sweeteners. Sprite, in addition to taste, is known primarily from the eternal clash with the competitive 7up brand, not the case with Sprite Zero and PepsiCo 7up Free.
Although Sprite without sugar has been produced since 1974, it is still hard to hit in Poland and only appears in imported versions. Sugar Free Sprite was originally called 'Sugar Free Sprite', but in 1983 it was renamed 'Diet Sprite'; At the same time, in some countries it was known as 'Sprite Light'. In 2002, the name of this beverage was unified in all countries, beginning with Greece, and henceforth produced as Sprite Zero and sold under the brand until today. As a curiosity it can be cited that due to the content of citrates, Sprit'e zero is used in unconventional medicine as a drink preventing pain associated with kidney stones.
